The West Chamber held its annual Chairman’s Inaugural Celebration lunch on January 27, 2012 at Terrace Gardens at Ken Caryl. Over 320 people from the Jefferson County business community gathered to recognize outstanding Chamber members, and welcome incoming Board Chair, Jim Curtis, owner of Village Roaster.
The event honored local businesses and individuals for their exceptional performance in 2011. Awards were given to the Business of the Year (over 50 employees), Small Business of the Year (Under 50 Employees), Young Professional of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year, Elected Official of the Year and Ambassador of the Year.
High Point Financial Group, LLC was honored at the event and stated, "The team at High Point is honored to receive this award from the Chamber. Being an active member in building a successful community is a shared goal between the Chamber and High Point Financial Group. We look forward to our continued partnership with the Chamber and deepening our relationships with each of its members."
Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design received Business of the Year (over 50 employees), and High Point Financial Group, LLC was awarded Small Business of the Year (under 50 employees). Elected Official of the Year went to from the Lakewood City Council Member, Adam Paul, while Red Rocks Community College Foundation was honored as the Non-Profit of the Year. Chamber member Andi Erpelding with Re/Max Professionals was the Chamber’s Young Professional of the Year, and Mel Archer was given the Ambassador of the Year award.
Finalists for each award included: Red Rocks Medical Center and St. Anthony’s Hospital for Business of the Year with over fifty employees; Shear Productions and Mears Interactive for Business of the Year with under fifty employees; Lakewood City Council Member, Cindy Barroway and Jefferson County Commissioner, Don Rosier for Elected Official of the Year; the Ralston House and CASA of Jefferson and Gilpin Counties for Non-Profit of the Year; Jeff Mostek with Roper Insurance and Shane Robert with Green Vine Marketing for Young Professional of the Year; and Anne Cucchi with Re/Max and Kay Ehalt with Dream Baskets by Kay for Ambassador of the year.
Brian Willms, President of The West Chamber stated, “The Chairman’s Inaugural Celebration is a testament to the dedication and strength of the Jefferson County community. Over 300 community leaders, business owners and elected officials attended our event to recognize and support local business, as well as the Board of Directors for our Chamber. I am proud to be affiliated with such an outstanding group. The businesses and individuals that received awards today are all shining examples of why Jeffco is a great place to live and work. “
