City of Arvada

Evergreen Area

Evergreen is cradled in the Rocky Mountains at about 7,000 feet elevation and just 30 miles west of Denver.  It sprawls from the flanks of 14,260 –foot Mount Evans on the west, to the edge of the high plains on the east; from it sister communities of Conifer and Aspen Park on the south, to Genesee and Lookout Mountain on the north.  Evergreen is a place where the city and mountain living come together –to a place where elk and buffalo roam. Wheat Ridge, Colorado, is a great place to live, learn, work and play. Wheat Ridge has a population of approximately 33,000 and is located in the Denver Metro area. The school district is the largest in Colorado offering a variety of learning opportunities to meet the diverse needs of the students.. In addition, to the129 neighborhood schools, Jeffco R1 has nine option schools which have a special educational focus and 12 charter schools operated by community groups.

Red Rocks Community College
Located at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in Lakewood, Colorado, Red Rocks Community College offers more than 150 programs and 650 courses leading to two-year degrees or professional certificates.
Red Rocks has campuses in Lakewood and Arvada. Courses are delivered in formats from traditional classroom to online to self-paced and weekend classes.

Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design(RMCAD)
is located on twenty-three wooded acres at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in Lakewood, Colorado, in the west-central part of metropolitan Denver. RMCAD's unique, intimately-scaled campus includes eighteen historical buildings built in a variety of 20th century architectural styles. The campus has six Macintosh and Windows NT computer labs that are connected to print centers, and are designed for multi-use by all departments with specific labs designated for 3-D computer animation, video and sound, multimedia, computer-aided drafting, and advanced special effects.
