City of Lakewood

Ideally situated between downtown Denver and the foothills of the Rockies, Lakewood is Colorado’s fourth largest city. Lakewood is a pro-business community with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and great cultural diversity. One of its biggest attractions is its quality of life.

Lakewood maintains more parks and facilities per capita than any other city of comparable size in Colorado. Lakewood has dedicated more than 7,000 acres to parkland with over 80 miles of hiking and biking trails.

Bear Creek Lake Park offers an abundance of recreational opportunities and environmental education. Explore the park by foot, from the deck of a sailboat, on a mountain bike or on the back of a horse. You can camp overnight, water ski on Big Soda Lake, or just socialize at a family reunion.

The Lakewood Cultural Center, a 38,000 square foot facility, offers special engagements, nationally and internationally recognized performing artists.

Visit the 30,000 artifacts preserved at the Lakewood's Heritage Center - A historic and social center park features a look at the 20th century lifestyle. Located in beautiful Belmar Park, Lakewood Heritage Center currently has over 10 historic structures, a festival area and an outdoor amphitheater.
